Today, is "Kiss" Day! April 13th...
Yes, I found that there is a day for "Kiss" last year...
And because we don't care when people invent things for "good reasons" here some words I found to celebrate it... Both touched me for different reasons...

KISS ME QUICK (2011)
I'm not into these "fake celebration" dates to be honest, but I learnt about this one today through Facebook, have never heard about it before: April 12th- The kiss day! It deserves some "appreciation"...
A bit cheesy I know..., but let's be honest (and cheesy!): are there many other things better in life than a kiss? It can be a romantic kiss, a passionate kiss, a tender kiss...
IT IS simply one of the best things in life...
Ok, ok, enough!!!
Anyway, I have this poster at home, it's a bit kitsch I know!, but still funny and I quite enjoy looking at it everyday...
I was in Brazil last week and I found this book - The kiss: First lessons of love, history, art and eroticism. Not sure if it is published in other countries/ languages, but basically it's a collection of articles from different intellectuals about the subject: the kiss!!!
There are articles on the various types of kisses: the nurturing & caring & maternal one, the kiss in fairy tales (where everything started for some women, the romance and the tiers ;)...), the first kisses printed in posters, Jude's insidious kiss, the kiss in advertising, the "never-ending" kiss in the movies and all the symbols related to them.
Search for it in the web, you might find it...the book, not the kiss!
(well, thinking twice, eventually you may find a kiss in the web as well;) who knows?)
So, in the end, we all have had or dream about that "made in Hollywood" kiss, the one that leaves us breathless.
Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't...but when it does, well, well..."Houston, we've got a problem!"(or not!!)...
I once read some quotes from a brazilian writer (can't remember her name though), and took some notes.
She said something like:
"at the beginning a kiss can be soft, shy, quite "investigative", ultimately it's all about 2 people getting to know each other without words...
Then suddenly the real thing shows up, the magic happens. It can take from 5 seconds to 5 days."
If it doesn't happen in that space of time, forget, go for the next one!
She also said that "a kiss is like diving in the darkness (I like this one, sometimes it's exactly how it feels!), it's one-way trip, there's no way back. It's a way to say a 1000 things in silence."
And cause all love stories have kisses and happy endings, to finish of this post, some beautiful kisses for you!

Besides the images, I felt like sharing the soundtrack I was listening to while I was writing this post! Love her!
(and didn't manage to get tickets for her concert next week here in London!!! Arghhhhh!!!!)

THE KISS Lips' language to lips' ears. Two drinking each other's heart, it seems. Two roving loves who have left home, pilgrims to the confluence of lips. Two waves rise by the law of love to break and die on two sets of lips. Two wild desires craving each other meet at last at the body's limits. Love's writing a song in dainty letters, layers of kiss-calligraphy on lips. Plucking flowers from two sets of lips perhaps to thread them into a chain later. This sweet union of lips is the red marriage-bed of a pair of smiles. (Rabindranath Tagore- 1886)
KISS ME
kiss me and make the sorrowful pain go away
kiss me and tell me everything will soon be okay kiss me and hold me tightly close to you kiss me and whisper sweet words that are true kiss me and and lay me on the bed kiss me from my toes to my head kiss me here and kiss me there kiss me all over and anywhere kiss me softly and kiss me hardly kiss me from ear to ear kiss me after wipe my tear kiss me kiss me kiss me more and if you can't do that at least for once let me through the door
