...And because the post earlier this week was about my Grandma's birthday...
...And because I have amazing cousins!!!
...And because one of them is here in London and after years we could spend a lot of great and quality time together...
...And because it's Friday and I'm thinking about all that has happened this week...
...And because sometimes in life we don't give enough importance to how incredibly important is to be close to our families...
...And because now more than never I wish I could be closer to them...
...And because my angels up there in heaven are looking after me...they "sent" me her, Karine, to spend time here in London with me and my brother...
...And because she is so sweet, she has texted me this: x

"Cousin, I just left your home. I would like to say something to you: your home is so amazing, so inspiring! The books, the pictures, each detail...IT IS YOU IN EACH AND EVERY DETAIL. Your baggage, what you've learnt and have lived, for any of us that are away from you to see... How can anyone not smile and want to be close to such a special person?

Kari, I love you! And I love that you still remember that my clothes usually would be given to you, that you still remember the pink fluffy jumper with embroidery, that will still feel inspired by the things I say, even at 3am in the morning in bed...it is very important to me and I feel the same way! You are a fighter, you been through so much in such a young life, and now you are enjoying everything you deserve!!! And rest assure, that is much much much more to come!
Now, let's enjoy the summer, because as the song says..."The sun is in our eyes and the world in our feet". Also, there is a new "cantinho" that you'll see next week- a hint below!Amo-te gata!

...and your whole family is together celebrating your Grandma's birthday, in a sunny Sunday, in the country side...You rely on technology...
You make your Gradma cry and then you cry back when you watch her reaction...when she tries to answer we calling her...

Freckles

As a child I was the only one in my class that have them...and on top of that, "a sort" of red hair...
I had several nicknames..."Foguinho", "Moranguinho" (Strawberry Shortcake), "Pimentinha"...

I couldn't wait to be become a teenager so my parents would allow me to wear some make up and then I would be able to hide them...
Actually, someone once told that if I washed my face with "rice water", they would fade. I did that!!!

When that age came and the boys "started telling me beautiful things" they always mentioned my freckles...
And today, I received the link for a photographer (Reto Caduff) page. His photos are all about freckles and I love it! Beautiful work!

If someone come from the US and want to bring me one, more than welcome!;)
I tried to get it online, but couldn't manage to do so...

A song for me...

Change of plans...what was supposed to be a weekend in Paris turned out to be a long weekend in London (busy just for the crowds on the streets due to the Jubilee), enjoying a different perspective of what long holidays were about to me so far....
For some reason, when you have a busy live and you work a lot it seems that a long weekend can never be spent quietly, at home...This time I changed plans and decided to stay in.

On Monday afternoon, unexpectedly I received a message:
"Was listening to my fave album today by Muse- not sure if you gave heard the song Bliss, but it reminded me of you...Will send you the lyrics"

Such a nice thing, so comforting...and I love the lyrics...
